With the installation of the first 1,800 tons of hot asphalt type three, at four different points, distributed over 4.3 kilometers, the Ministry of Popular Power for Transport and the Government of Zulia added the section of the road corridor that goes from the La Chinita Distributor to the international airport of the same name to the State Road Plan.

In total, 10,000 tons of asphalt will be placed on the road to the airport, at the same time that lighting and trees will be restored and the La Chinita Distributor will be rescued. The project will benefit more than 126,000 residents of the municipalities of Maracaibo and San Francisco, local press reported.

The lighting work is carried out by crews from the Regional Government and the National Electric Corporation (CORPOELEC), while the production of the asphalt mixture is carried out thanks to the supply of liquids by the Ministry of People's Power for Transport.

“Between the Government of Zulia and the National Government, interurban roads such as Lara-Zulia, Falcón-Zulia and the Pan-American Highway, which are national in nature, are being serviced, while mayors will directly assume the consolidation of urban roads in communities, neighborhoods and housing developments. We are articulating the levels of government for the integral development of the state,” said Governor Luis Caldera.
