Mintur and Investment Center sign memorandum of understanding to boost tourism

This Tuesday, a memorandum of understanding was signed between Mintur and the CIIP with national investors, for the development of tourism projects in various areas of the country. These documents represent an important step in the revitalization of the tourism sector and open up new opportunities for comprehensive growth.

The signing ceremony was led by the Minister of Popular Power for Tourism, Leticia Gómez, together with the Minister of People's Power for Industries and National Production and president of the International Center for Productive Investment (CIIP), Alex Saab, with the objective of continuing to promote the diversification of the national economy.

In addition, it was attended by Mintur's Deputy Minister of Tourism Projects and Works, Lisbeth Rosales, and representatives of the sector, including the president of Venetur, Miguel Marín .

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, during the presentation of the 2024 National Tourism Award, referred to the importance of developing a new tourism model. “We are looking for tourism that generates spiritual, cultural, material, physical and monetary wealth, that captures foreign exchange and consumes products made in Venezuela, products of high quality.”

These initiatives represent a fundamental step in revitalizing tourism in Venezuela, opening doors to new opportunities for growth and consolidating the country as a tourist destination with great potential to welcome world travelers, through the promotion of its natural beauty and cultural diversity.
