The Secretary of Culture of Miranda State, Gabriela Simoza, recalled that registrations to participate in the 3rd edition of the entity's 2025 Community Performing Arts Festival will run until this Sunday.
“The registration process will end on Sunday and has had the active participation of communities and institutions from different municipalities,” he said.
He also indicated that “the groups that are selected will begin next week the training cycle in body expression, staging, theatrical production and other areas.”
He said that this Festival not only promotes art, but also ecological awareness. In the Simón Bolívar municipality, communities and institutions of San Francisco de Yare have been activated with a day of collecting recycled material to contribute to the scenography of the event, a requirement that is part of the requirements for registration.
“The José Vicente Espejo Library of the Casa Simón Bolívar Museum, the Chacao Educational Unit and the Carmen Ruiz Educational Unit are some of the institutions that support this project. We seek to promote the identity, ecological awareness and sanitation of communities,” he said.
He reiterated that the materials collected, such as cardboard, wood and plastics, will be used by theater groups to build scenographies, an action that promotes the circular economy and demonstrates how community contributions are transformed into art.
