Miranda won a pair of gold and one silver medals on the second day of athletics

The Miranda state delegation won a pair of gold and one silver medals on the second day of athletics of the 19th edition of the National Student Sports Games.

The Mirandino student-athletes, Francisco Campos and Doriangel Oramas will dominate the men's and women's hammer-throwing and 80-meter hurdles events, according to the Ministry of Sport press release.

Campos, with a mark of 45.01 meters in the hammer throw, climbed to the top of the podium of the competition held at the Máximo Viloria Sports Center in the city of Barquisimeto, together with José Nieves (32.58 m) and Cristofer García (29.39 m), second and third place, respectively.

The second gold medal for the Mirandina delegation was added by Oramas with a record of 11.70 in the women's 80-meter hurdles. The podium was completed by Conjedeña Andrea Pino (silver) with a mark of 12.05 and the Anzoatiguense Tayra Silva (bronze) with 12.55.

In the javelin throwing modality, Isabela Sánchez with a record of 40.87 won the gold one, followed by the Mirandina Yorglendis Carmona (silver) with a mark of 30.88 and the yaracuyana Sofia Parra (bronze) with 26.70.
