Misión Barrio Adentro treated more than 21,000 patients last weekend

Over 21 thousand 103 patients were treated over the past weekend in 573 Comprehensive Diagnostic Centers (CDI) distributed throughout the country.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Health, more than 6,703 health professionals from the Barrio Adentro Mission were active to achieve this goal, who worked around the clock to meet the urgent and continuing needs of the population.

During the day, the CDIs provided critical care to patients with conditions ranging from chronic diseases to acute emergencies. In the life support units, constant monitoring and administration of intravenous treatments were performed.

In parallel, the radiology services carried out diagnostic studies that allowed for early and effective interventions. In addition, specialized medical consultations were provided in cardiology, endocrinology and pediatrics, ensuring comprehensive coverage that included both primary and specialized care.
