Through the Miracle Mission, more than 400 cataract operations will be performed in Portuguesa through a free surgical day that will last until the 21st of this month.

The Miracle Mission reported on social networks that these are a series of interventions that give continuity to the ophthalmological surgical days that are carried out periodically in the entity to correct visual pathologies and help the people recover their vision.

In this new operating cycle, patients are being treated who were recruited by the 1×10 of Good Governance and consulted in June of this year during an ophthalmological evaluation day that toured the 14 municipalities of Portuguesa.

According to María Gabriela Gil de Cedeño, first lady of Portuguesa, of the 1,500 patients diagnosed two months ago, “400 or a little more” will be operated on. The operating room of the type I hospital in Agua Blanca is enabled for the interventions.
