The Nevado Mission invites a completely free phenotypic and veterinary evaluation of Venezuela's native dog breed, the Mucuchí.

The president of the Nevado Mission Foundation, Maigualida Vargas, in a video posted on the mission's Instagram account, indicated that the evaluation of the Mucuchí breed will take place this Saturday, February 15, from 5:00pm, at the Manzanares Plaza Shopping Center, as part of the Best Cup of the Venezuelan Canine Federation.

Vargas said that the day is an opportunity for Mucuchi owners to submit them for evaluation and obtain their registration certificate.

“If you have a specimen of this breed without registration, you cannot miss this completely free phenotypic and veterinary evaluation of our breed,” he added.

In the message, he says: “Join us on this #15feb! To bring our representatives of the native dog breed of Venezuela, the Mucuchi, to be evaluated by the invited judges and obtain their certification towards international recognition of our breed.”

The activity will be carried out by Judge Christian Molina, from Bolivia, and the Venezuelan Canine Federation.

In addition, the Venezuelan Canine Federation, on its Instagram account, said: “Come and join us hand in hand with Misión Nevado in this beautiful presentation and evaluation of our wonderful Venezuelan breed.”

The Mucuchies breed was declared a National Typical Dog on August 31, 1964. Its name is due to its location in the Venezuelan Andes, in San Rafael de Mucuchies, Mérida state.
