More than 100 Justices of the Peace receive training in legal matters in Miranda

The 156 Communal Justices of the Peace, belonging to the municipality of Paz Castillo, Miranda state, began training at the Cine-Teatro de Santa Lucía, in legal matters, to provide tools for mediation and conflict resolution in communities, who will work together with State institutions to achieve a solution to the internal problems of their sector.
The judge of the Paz Castillo municipality, José Betancourt, reported that the workshop will last three and a half months, and will be held at the cinema theater on Saturdays from 8:00am to 4:00pm, which will be given by the National School of the Judiciary online.
He also noted that next week judges must submit in writing the places where they are going to work.
The workshop consists of three modules of 24 hours each, the training topics will be: Bolivarian Thought, Constitution of Venezuela, Articles 19 and 3, the Law on Judges and Judges of the People's Power. The training is conducted under the guidelines of the Supreme Court of Justice, as stated in article 20 of the Organic Law on Communal Justice and Peace.
The functions of communal judges and justices of the peace are: mediation in community conflicts, conciliation in conflicts and controversies, conflict resolution through equity, and to dictate emergency preventive measures.
