More than 300,000 tourists entered the state of Bolívar from the municipality of Gran Sabana, a border landmark that connects Venezuela with Brazil, during the Easter holidays.

The mayor of Gran Sabana, Manuel de Jesús Véliz, emphasized in statements offered to Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), the influx of travelers from Brazil, with the entry of more than 500 vehicles from the Brazilian side and an even larger number from Venezuelan territory. “The arrival of domestic and international tourists has tripled, and we have the support of various authorities to ensure optimal care,” he said.

The presence of more than nine thousand security personnel reinforces security throughout the region, to create adequate conditions for the development of recreational activities and the movement of visitors. The measures seek to guarantee tranquility and order in the most frequented natural and urban areas.

In addition to the tourist influx, the Gran Sabana offers a wide variety of attractions, especially the Canaima National Park, where you can find Angel Falls, the Canaima Lagoon, the Tepuyes (table mountains) and indigenous communities; the combination of nature and tourist attention makes this area one of the most visited on special dates.
