More than 40 countries will participate in the XIX World Poetry Festival

The XIX World Poetry Festival will be attended by delegations from more than 40 countries, and will be held between July 14 and 20 throughout the territory of Venezuela, as stated by the poet, Leonardo Ruiz.
“There are 40 countries and the main guest is Palestine, at least a dozen poets from Palestine would come to this nineteenth edition, but for reasons of the same situations that are experienced there, only eight poets come,” he said.
In addition, he indicated that 200 Venezuelan poets will remain deployed in ten states. At the same time, she indicated that Place of Stay is the motto, and the poet honored will be the Venezuelan Belén Ojeda.
“The international guests with their respective works,” he said, noting that “great voices have always been summoned to great voices that are not just voices of the poetic word, but voices of defense of humanity,” he said.
Regarding the literary fair, he indicated that “the central theme is life, the permanence of life in the midst of this convulsive chaos that we are experiencing, we know that the upheaval we are experiencing right now is not new. Our fundamental theme is peace.”
