More than 50 students participated in a weightlifting day in Miranda state

More than 50 students participated in the 18th sports day, which was dedicated to weightlifting in the Plaza municipality of Miranda state, with the purpose of seeking a place in the delegation that will represent the entity in the XIX Student Sports Games 2025.

The competition was held at the facilities of the Alberto Sequin Vera National Educational Unit. Among the most outstanding participating athletes were: In the 36 kilogram category, Ángel Zerpa, who won the gold medal; Fabricio González, silver medal; Dilan de León and Manuel Gómez shared honors and won the bronze medal.

This event is part of Miranda State's commitment to the expansion of school sports, providing opportunities for young people from all over the region to fully develop through physical activity and healthy competition, according to the Ministry of Sports press.

The weightlifting tests made it possible to evaluate, under the technical supervision of the Mirandino regional team, the level and preparation of the participants for the student sports event.
