MP will charge a woman who posed as a candidate for mayor of Guayana Essequiba

The Public Ministry (MP) announced the decision to charge citizen Zhyara González for
the crimes of endorsement or validation of
relationships and influences, continued aggravated fraud, usurpation of functions and lack of attestation before a public official.
Through the MP's Instagram account, “this criminal
posed as a candidate for mayor of
Guiana Esequiba, requesting large sums of money and
construction materials for the purpose of illegally profiting; in addition, she boasted of having
relationships and influences with senior officials of the Venezuelan State,” Saab recalled.
According to the publication, González was caught in a security operation by the Bolivarian
National
Police (PNB), after several complaints filed by
residents of the Sifontes municipality,
in Puerto Ordaz, for usurpation of public office.
The arrest occurred in the Caroní municipality, when González was preparing to hold a meeting with one of his victims, to whom he would provide alleged contracts for public works of social interest, as well as participation in mining activities in exchange for a previous payment in foreign exchange.
