MPPC selected the first group of artists to participate in the Elsa Morales Salon

The Ministry of Popular Power for Culture (MPPC) announced the selection of the first group of visual artists chosen to participate in the Elsa Morales National Art Salon 2025.
After a successful call that closed last Sunday, September 14, the decision was made for these first approved artists who are part of a first list that satisfactorily met all the requirements, such as that their proposed works were not previously exhibited in another regional or national art hall.
The lists of the first selected artists are distributed as follows: in Carabobo, 54 artists were selected and their works will be presented at the Valencia Art Museum; in Lara, 63 artists; in Mérida, 17 artists at the La Otra Banda Gallery and 14 at the Juan Astorga Anta Museum of Modern Art; and finally, 17 artists from the states of Táchira, Portuguesa, Apure and Barinas.
The MPPC also reported on the schedule for the next announcements, which will take place on September 22 in Bolivar state; September 23 in Maracaibo and Maturín; September 24 in Sucre state; and finally, the day will end on September 25 and 26 in Caracas.
The works presented in this edition include a variety of disciplines such as drawing, painting, photography, graphic arts, sculpture, assemblage, textile art, fire arts, video art, installation, sound art and body arts.
