Nahum Fernández: Here there is people and strength in support of President Nicolás Maduro

The head of government of the Capital District, Nahum Fernández, said that “there is a people and strength here in support of Nicolás Maduro.” This statement was made during the anti-imperialist march held this Monday, August 11 in the city of Caracas.

“The United States is seeking to generate an agenda of terror and fear in our people, wanting to impose the fascism that this people and (Nicolás) Maduro have already defeated,” he said.

He said that in Venezuela there is a people who are deeply united by their desire for peace, social justice and love for sovereignty.
“The United States government does not have a coherent plan for its own country and, since it does not have popular support, it tries to apply coercive mechanisms against free nations such as Venezuela,” he said.

He added that “they have no support, plan (...) they have nothing and that is why they want to take the path of conspiracy but today in these streets it has been demonstrated once again that this people have a president and his name is Nicolás Maduro and this people protect him”. Fernández added “whoever messes with Venezuela and with Maduro dries up!”
