National Assembly approved Strategic Partnership Treaty between Venezuela and Russia

This Tuesday, the National Assembly (AN) approved by qualified majority the Strategic Partnership and Cooperation Treaty between the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Russian Federation.
During the session, the President of the Parliament, Jorge Rodríguez, stressed that the agreement ratifies a document previously signed by the heads of state of both countries, Nicolás Maduro Moros and Vladimir Putin.
He indicated that this type of agreement reflects a different form of interaction between governments, with the objective of strengthening bilateral ties.
Rodríguez also referred to the international context, pointing out that, despite extremist expressions in various regions, the rapprochement between Venezuela and Russia represents a path towards cooperation between Peoples.
The event was attended by Sergey Mélik-Bagdasárov, Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Venezuela.
