The national simulation of civil protection and preparation of the people within the framework of the popular military-police merger was carried out in all the municipalities of the state of Carabobo, where the people actively participated.

This was reported by the governor of the said entity, Rafael Lacava, who also highlighted the high readiness to deal with contingencies of PDVSA workers in the El Palito refinery, who, among the maneuvers tested, was the simulated escape of gas from the storage spheres.

“Today we participated in this exercise, which saw the success of a protocol implemented in an impeccable manner. Impeccable, perfectly articulated to protect not only the lives of workers, but also the lives of the people who travel here,” said the governor.

He stressed that from a command post he supervised the operation, highlighting the efficiency with which the security mechanisms were activated. The action protocol included the verification of actions via radio and cameras, allowing the simulated contingency to be controlled.

The governor expressed his satisfaction with the level of training demonstrated: “An earthquake or any other type of contingency that comes our way... we have a knowledge of this type of event that I really didn't think was at this level of perfection.”

Lacava also praised the perfect civic-military police merger and its importance in dealing with contingencies. “We are prepared for any contingency that may arise,” he said.
