National leader: Venezuelan oil industry increased 8.5% in the first quarter

President Nicolás Maduro reaffirmed Venezuela's autonomy in oil production, assuring that the country does not require external authorizations to operate in the energy sector.

“The Venezuelan oil industry increased 8.5% in the first quarter of this year. Venezuelan oil will continue to grow with its own lungs, without depending on anyone. Much less licenses,” said the president.

He reiterated that Venezuela does not depend on licenses, nor does it ask for permission to breathe, live, walk, walk, exist or produce oil, where there is a national oil industry of more than 100 years with a qualified expert hand
