National president calls for rescuing the diversity of family and community groups

President Nicolás Maduro instructed to rescue the ecological, naturist, profound and productive concept of Conuco, during his “Thursday of Popular Power”, from the Parque Caiza Rural Tourist District.

At a popular meeting with representatives of the communities of Parque Caiza, Miranda state, he explained that, on a family or community scale, anyone can have a conuco under the diverse production of the land, taking care of it, managing water and the natural conditions where it is produced.

The National President insisted that it is necessary to rescue this model of ancestral production, “as a concept that we have inherited from Carimao, from Guaicaipura, from Terepaima, from Urquía”.

The Head of State added that each commune has to think about “how to permanently build the future in the present, because the future is not going to come. The future is going to come, that's not going to come to you out of nowhere, what's going to come to you in the future is what you build today.”
