The Popular Power Minister for Ecological Mining Development, Héctor Silva, together with the Mining Brigades and community leaders, initiated the National Reforestation Plan with the planting of more than 350 specimens of different species such as Apamate, Cedar, Mahogany and Oak, in the La Justicia sector, Bolivar state.

At the beginning of the activity, Minister Silva inspected the La Justicia Nursery, built by miners and miners; this place will help the community to continue growing plants, from seeds, cuttings or seedlings, to their most advanced stage of development. In addition, as a first step, the team from the National Institute of Geology and Mining (Ingeomin) carried out the study of soils to evaluate their suitability for growing plants in this area.

The head of the mining portfolio stressed that the empowerment of Popular Power has been crucial for the Bolivarian Revolution, which is why the MIDME has organized miners and miners in the Brigades, to consolidate the union between the people and the Bolivarian Government, achieving the solution of existing problems.

“Today we are going to start with the environmental remediation program in La Justicia, this great initiative devised by President Nicolás Maduro and launched by the Mining Engine and Basic Industries,” said Minister Silva.

He asserted that the fourth engine of the Venezuelan economy is fulfilling the premise of the head of state: “more territory and less desk, together with Popular Power to transform our country.”

For her part, Lilisneth Martínez, leader and part of the La Justicia Community Council, highlighted the work carried out by the MIDME for the protection of the environment and of small miners and miners. “The Mining Brigades is a dream come true, thanks to President Nicolás Maduro Moros and Minister Silva, who have shown their commitment to the well-being of all of us and have instructed us on the task and responsibility of promoting the reforestation plan in our areas. Count on Justice to continue to protect our ecosystem and our children's homes.”
