More than 1,600 patients in the state of La Guaira have been treated through the National Surgical Plan days developed in that entity.

This was reported by the governor of La Guaira, Alejandro Terán, who explained that, thanks to coordination with the various care centers of the National Public Health System, 577 minor and medium-complexity surgeries have been performed.

In addition, as reported by the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN), Terán highlighted that “these women and men who are treated in this eighth National Surgical Plan are a reflection of President Nicolás Maduro's capacity to love, who strives to guarantee health to the people, especially those Guaireños and Guaireñas from remote areas. And the thing is that when the extraordinary becomes everyday, it is a clear demonstration that we are making Homeland, as Commander Hugo Chávez said.”

The National Surgical Plan has highly qualified personnel to perform both high and low complexity surgeries. Patients have the tests and medical supplies for their intervention. 16 operating rooms are still operational in health centers such as the Eudoro González Hospital in Carayaca, the Macuto Maternity Hospital, the Pariata Peripheral Home, the minor procedures room of the Catia la Mar Clinic and the Martín Vegas Hospital.

Finally, the governor noted that “there are more than 300 people involved in this plan with the objective of ensuring successful surgeries within a more humanized national public health system.”
