Navegantes del Magallanes and Tigres de Aragua made a multiple change involving eight players, with a view to the 2025-2026 season of the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League (LVBP).

The Carabobeño club received Thairo Estrada, Luis Sardiñas, and right Ángel Bastardo for José Peraza, Deolis Guerra, Kervin Castro, Jhan Zambrano and Franklin Gómez, who now belong to the Aragüeños, LVBP press review.

Sardiñas is a veteran of 11 Venezuelan baseball campaigns with Tiburones de La Guaira, Caribes de Anzoátegui and the Aragüeños.

Estrada has seven seasons in the big leagues with the New York Yankees, San Francisco Giants and currently the Colorado Rockies. In the LVBP, he has not yet seen action.

For his part, Thairo has also had an important career in the majors, although he has not yet been able to make his career in Venezuela.

As for Bastardo, he is a 22-year-old starting pitcher with five seasons of experience and a 4.76 ERA in the Boston Red Sox minor leagues, who was drafted Rule 5 last December by the Toronto Blue Jays.

In the same way, Peraza has accumulated experience of three seasons in the LVBP and seven in the major leagues. In 2015, he made his debut with the Los Angeles Dodgers. It has two seasons in the Mexican Baseball League and is currently part of Saraperos de Saltillo.

Guerra is another pitcher with a bigleaguer caste, after seeing action for six seasons in MLB. After 14 years in Magallanes, he will wear another uniform for the first time. He is currently on the roster of the Red Devils, in the Mexican League.

Meanwhile, Castro also has experience in the Big Tent with the San Francisco Giants and Chicago Cubs. The right, 26 years old, now belongs to the New York Yaquis. While Zambrano is a young arm, who can work as an intermediate reliever. Until 2022, he was on the Texas Rangers and Los Angeles Dodgers farms.

Finally, prospect Gomez, a 19-year-old left-handed pitcher, is in the Class A branch of the New York Mets.
