Prime Minister Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, assured that Israel will attack “at a time and place” of its choosing Iran, a power he blamed for the missile attack launched this Saturday by the Houthis of Yemen that hit near Tel Aviv airport.
“The President (of the United States)! Donald) Trump is absolutely right! The Houthis' attacks come from Iran. Israel will respond to the Houthi attack against our main airport and, at a time and place of our choosing, to its Iranian terrorist masters,” Netanyahu said today on his social networks, attaching a screenshot of a Trump message from March 2025.
In the text from a month and a half ago, Trump, on his social network Truth Social, accuses Iran of “dictating every movement” and of providing Houthi rebels with weapons, money and military equipment. “Every shot fired by the Houthis will be understood, from now on, as if it had been fired by Iran's weapons and leadership, and Iran will be responsible and will suffer the consequences,” Trump threatened.
For the first time in more than a year and a half of the Israeli offensive in the Gaza Strip, this Sunday the area of Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv was hit by a missile launched from Yemen that was not intercepted by Israeli air defenses and caused minor injuries to six people.
“Following the sound of sirens in several areas of Israel, several attempts were made to intercept a missile launched from Yemen. A fall was detected in the area of Ben Gurion Airport. The incident is under investigation,” the Army said.
Therefore, in Yemen, they claimed responsibility for the attack, where a military operation was carried out, where they targeted Ben Gurion airport, in occupied Yafa (Tel Aviv), with a hypersonic ballistic missile. The explosion caused six injuries, of whom four suffered injuries directly related to the explosion and two others were injured on their way to shelters, Israeli emergency service Magen David Adom (MDA) reported.
