This Monday, the Central Bank of Norway announced the closure of its investments in 11 Israeli companies due to the atrocities of the Zionist regime against the Palestinian people.
“These measures were taken in response to extraordinary circumstances. The situation in Gaza constitutes a serious humanitarian crisis,” said Nicolai Tangen, CEO of Norges Bank Investment Management.
The statements were made by the head of the Norwegian body that manages the country's sovereign wealth fund, in a statement issued this Monday, according to Hispantv.
Regarding the situation in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank occupied by the Israeli attacks, he stated that these measures adopted by Oslo “will simplify the management of our investments in this market and will reduce the number of Norwegian companies”.
Norwegian companies, which manage an estimated fortune of 2 trillion dollars, will proceed to sell their shares in several Israeli companies and will end all contracts with Israeli asset managers, due to the situation in Gaza and the West Bank.
