The Bolivarian Sports Organization (ODEBO) ratified Venezuela as the venue for the second edition of the Bolivarian Youth Games, which will be held in the cities of Caracas, Miranda and La Guaira next year

In addition, the president of the Venezuelan Olympic Committee (VOC), María Soto, was ratified as the first vice-president of the ODEBO, according to the Ministry of Sport press.

The meeting that took place at the National Sports Village (VIDENA) in the Peruvian capital, Lima, was attended by representatives of the Olympic committees of the countries that make up the ODEBO, as well as by the authorities headed by its president, Baltazar Medina.

“We left the assembly ratifying Caracas as the venue for the Bolivarian Youth Games in 2026. The organizing committee presented what will be the mouthpiece of these games. We are convinced that Caracas, La Guaira and Miranda will show what Venezuelans are made of,” said Soto.

For his part, the Deputy Minister of High Performance Sports, Henyelberth Herrera, ratified the commitment of the Venezuelan state, led by President Nicolás Maduro, to the organization of the Bolivarian Youth Games, as well as to the National Sports Games, to which the ODEBO was invited to observe how the competition develops.

“We ratify the Venezuelan government's commitment to the organization of the 2026 Bolivarian Youth Games. We presented the sports development we have had this year with the National School and Community Games, while inviting them to participate in next year's National Games to see the sample of how we carry out sporting events in Venezuela,” Herrera said.
