Officials who graduated in 1984 celebrated their 40th anniversary with a wreath

With a floral offering before the Bicentennial Wall, located in the Courtyard of Honor of the Military Academy of the Bolivarian Army (AMEB), the Officers who make up the promotions of the year 1984 celebrated this Wednesday the arrival of their 40th anniversary, a professional career dedicated to the defense of the country's sovereignty and independence.

The event was chaired by the Minister of People's Power for Defense, GJ. Vladímir Padrino López, accompanied by the Mayor of Caracas, AJ. Carmen Meléndez; the Governor of Trujillo State, My. General Gerardo Marquez, and other active and retired comrades in arms who are part of the generation of graduates of military academies and institutes who graduated in 84'.

During the ceremony, those present observed a minute of silence in honor of the Officers of that generation who are no longer on the physical plane.

“They have loved and continue to love our beloved Venezuela, because they continue to love the glorious arms race, I refer to the colleagues who graduated from the 1984 class who today celebrate 40 years of graduating from these institutes and 44 years of having received the Cadet Honor Dagger,” said the Sectorial Vice President of Defense and Sovereignty.


In the name of promotions, the My. General Gerardo Izquierdo Torres gave an emotional speech, in which he highlighted his gratitude for this meeting, “we share the same sentiment out of deep love for our Homeland and the Bolivarian National Armed Forces. Four decades later, that feeling of our Investiture as a cadet, a commitment of life that we acquired with the Fatherland, is very much alive in us.”


In 1984, the following promotions graduated from the components of the Bolivarian National Army, Bolivarian National Army, Bolivarian Military Aviation and Bolivarian National Guard:, "GB. Juan Gómez Mireles”, “TN. Fernando Gómez D'Sara”, “Ste. (Pilot) Alfonso Jesús Quintero Moreno” and II Battle of Araure Promotion, respectively.
