Operation Caracas Smile favors 24,000 inhabitants of the Macarao parish

More than 24,000 inhabitants of the Kennedy sector of the Macarao parish, in Caracas, have been favored by the comprehensive care days offered through Operation Caracas Smile.
The Mayor of the Libertador municipality, Carmen Meléndez, stressed that Operation Caracas Smile has reached 15 parishes in the capital city, which has made it possible to provide real solutions to Caracas families. “It's a new method of governance, going to govern the territory with all these caravans of solutions,” he said.
He also highlighted that in the Kennedy sector, the Mayor's Office of Caracas has carried out the recovery of blocks, schools, public spaces, public offices, roads and other spaces.

Brigitte Plaza, explained that this deployment offers general medicine, pediatrics, vaccination services, as well as care in the area of gynecology in which cytology is performed, contraceptive implants are placed, and talks are also given for planning pregnancies and avoiding sexually transmitted diseases.
He also explained that mobile clinics are used to collect funds for the National Surgical Plan. “We are happy to bring smiles to homes, quality care and guarantee a good life for the people of Caracas,” he said.
To date, Operation Caracas Smile has benefited more than 268,000 people, as well as benefiting from projects for the recovery of spaces, gastronomic and tourist corridors.
