Ophthalmic surgery day treated patients with cataracts in Valencia

A total of 14 patients benefited
during a day of cataract and glaucoma surgery at the
ophthalmology service of the Enrique Tejera Hospital City (CHET) in Valencia, Carabobo state.
According to information issued
by the Government, these patients were recruited through the VenApp application .
“We are responding
to the Carabobeño patients who had previously requested this care,
all in an articulated effort to provide quality service to the people
in our hospital city completely free of charge. These days
are being held weekly so that we can be more effective in
meeting the needs of Carabobeños and Carabobeñas,” said Carmen Cecilia Vásquez, general director of the health center.
While Rosmely Castellanos, head of the hospital's ophthalmology service, specified that several eye studies are carried out in these
facilities, allowing for a greater reach in patient care.
“In our service, we carry out studies such as biometry, eye ultrasound, eye plastic surgery and neurophthalmology, as well as providing emergency and specialized consultations for any patient who requires our services and can provide an efficient service,” he said.
