Padrino announces the creation of 335 ADI and highlights the success of “The Barracks Go to the Town”

In accordance with the instructions of the Commander in Chief of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), Nicolás Maduro, 335 Integral Defense Areas (ADI) were officially formed, one for each municipality in the country.

The information was announced by the Vice President of Defense and National Sovereignty, Vladimir Padrino López, who specified that he received the account signed by the head of state, thus consolidating a new territorial scheme for national defense.

“It is a doctrinal step that territorializes defense, articulates the Armed Forces, the Militia and the organized people in each municipality, and allows every man and every woman to have a mission, a weapon and a geographical space to exercise sovereignty,” said Padrino López.

He also described as a success the day “The Barracks Go to the People”, held this Saturday throughout the country, highlighting its educational, territorial and doctrinal nature. “It was wonderful to see how we met the People in their living and working spaces, with our weapons, with our doctrine, with our conscience,” he said.

He explained that familiarization exercises were carried out with collective and individual weapons, that weapons were delivered to the Bolivarian Militia in public squares, that community combat units were activated and that trips were made to indigenous, coastal, productive and border communities. “The weapons belong to the people. The people gave them to us constitutionally and we returned them to them for territorial defense,” he remarked.

Padrino López emphasized that this popular military and police fusion, promoted by the Commander in Chief, is expressed through a tactical method of revolutionary resistance and operational preparation in times of peace.
