This Friday, the General in Chief of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) and Minister of Popular Power for the Defense of Venezuela, Vladímir Padrino López, assured that the fight against drug trafficking carried out by the administration of President Nicolás Maduro Moros has “hurt” the government of the United States (USA).

“It hurt a lot that Venezuela has become a containment wall for drug trafficking,” said Padrino López, adding that “criminal gangs don't operate here because they have taken the story of the Aragua Train, they are completely disbanded, it doesn't exist, nor are there any cartels or drug lords, we can tell him that our Commander in Chief has done this task well.”

In this regard, the general in chief emphasized that Commander Hugo Chávez expelled the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) agency from here the world's main drug cartel and was taking steps and the concrete facts say that the president who acted most forcefully in drug trafficking is our commander in chief Nicolás Maduro.

He also stressed that in the United States his accusations reflect what they are “because there is a democracy in decline, a pseudo democracy, there is no democracy or a perspective that can be seen”.

“The gestures and arrogance of imperialism, in the midst of the emergence of this new multipolar world, it is trying to maintain its share of power,” stressed the head of Defense.
