Padrino López on Jornada Cuarteles go to the Town: It's a historic event of national union!

The sectoral vice-president of Political Sovereignty, Security and Peace, G/J Vladimir Padrino López, highlighted that this Saturday's day is a historic milestone for Venezuela, as the direct encounter between the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) and the Venezuelan people has been consolidated.

“We are simply writing the new revolutionary doctrine and this day covers a milestone, because the fact that the Armed Forces came out with their tanks, with their weapons, with their machine guns, with their fuses, to meet the people, to continue training, to continue the cohesion of all the new members of the Bolivarian Militia, is a historic event and a milestone that we are experiencing today with great emotion,” he said.

In this regard, he reaffirmed the importance of continuing in national unity to continue advancing tasks for the defense of the Homeland. “The right path for us to follow is that of the union of the whole People; (Simon) Bolívar said: 'The government as a whole, of the common legislation as a whole, of the national spirit as a whole, unity, unity, is our premise'; we must consolidate that unity, but on the ground, both in the unarmed struggle and in the armed struggle when appropriate,” he said.

In addition, he pointed out that given the asymmetries that exist in the world in terms of military technology and equipment, progress in strategic defense objectives would be limited without the consolidation of national union and the active participation of the Venezuelan people in the tasks of safeguarding sovereignty.

He reiterated that for this reason the message for the People is to continue in perfect civic-military-police union. At the same time, he thanked President Nicolás Maduro for this day, which was consolidated into a “vibrant emotion in the heart and soul of the FANB and the Venezuelan people.”
