Padrino López: The FANB will guarantee support and security in the Fourth National Popular Consultation 2025

The Minister of Popular Power for Defense, G/J Vladimir Padrino López, stressed that the Fourth National Popular Consultation 2025, scheduled for Sunday, November 23, represents the consolidation of a model of direct and participatory democracy.

Padrino López stressed that the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) will not only fulfill its security role, but will “accompany with deep happiness” a process that transfers decision-making power directly to the base.

He stressed that this consultation marks a milestone in public management, since it allows communities to prioritize their real needs without intermediaries. The people have been called upon to select their own projects, to say what is required and not to do it from the bureaucratic vision of the State,” he explained.

He stressed that this exercise of popular vote is fundamental for civic-military union in the territory. He assured that the FANB will ensure that the day passes in peace, allowing the nation to embark on “a new path of splendor, greater happiness for the people and greater political stability for our society and our institutions.”

Padrino López took the opportunity to congratulate artists on Musician's Day, linking culture to comprehensive defense.” A people without a cultural identity is fragile,” he said, recognizing the work of military musicians and the Orchestra System as strongholds of the nation's strategic culture.

“Music is an act of liberation and spiritual emancipation. With it, we rose up in the FANB and with it we finished the task,” he concluded, ratifying the commitment of the military institution to protect both territorial sovereignty and Venezuelan cultural heritage.
