PDVSA confirms gas pipeline fire in Monagas: It is shaping up to be an attack against the industry (+press release)

The state company Petrleos de Venezuela SA (PDVSA) confirmed this Monday that during this day there was a fire in the 26" Muscar-Soto gas pipeline, in the Punta de Mata Operational Complex in Monagas state.

In a statement, PDVSA indicated that “the maneuvers in accordance with security protocols (...) are being carried out for total control of the contingency”, stressing that it “draws attention to the strange circumstances of the incident that profile it as an attack on our industry”.

“So far, five workers injured by the explosion have been treated in health centers, guaranteeing them specialized medical care and providing all the necessary support,” the text states.
