Plan Bodega has achieved a successful expansion with more than 4,000 active supplies

The Minister of the People's Power of National Commerce, Luis Antonio Villegas, highlighted that the Bodega Plan has achieved a successful expansion with more than 4,000 active supplies covering more than 15 states of the country, which becomes an initiative to guarantee communal supply that began as a pilot plan in Caracas.

According to information from the Ministry of Commerce, he explained that the main objective of this plan is to break with the chain of intermediaries to minimize costs in basic food products. At the same time, he recalled that the plan was born from the wisdom of a community spokesperson, who proposed using the network of large markets in Venezuela to supply wineries directly.

In addition, he noted that the implementation required intense fieldwork with the key participation of community spokespersons, who characterize wineries in the territory for incorporation; and act as controllers to ensure that winemakers maintain fair prices.

He also noted that the operation of the Warehouse Plan is supported by the Workers' Digital Bank, which facilitates the refinancing of participating winemakers. This support has been fundamental, and has resulted in minimal delinquency within the thousands of incorporated wineries.

This initiative has been widely adopted by the community and has become a people's plan, which explains its success and low failure rate. The promotion of the Bodega Plan is a direct request from President Nicolás Maduro through the Economic Cabinet, which demonstrates its priority nature.
