PNB captured two citizens linked to human trafficking activities

Members of the Bolivarian National Police Force (CPNB) were able to capture two citizens allegedly linked to human trafficking activities, according to information issued by the Ministry of People 's Power for Interior Relations, Justice and Peace (MPPRIJP).

According to information issued by the Ministry, the incident occurred “in a maritime patrol operation” carried out in waters of the Delta Amacuro state, which “also allowed the rescue of seven people who were being deceitfully transported to Trinidad”.

The group, which had been caught under false promises and was in transit to foreign territory without documentation or guarantees, was treated by the competent authorities and transferred to a safe haven, where they received medical and psychological assistance.
