The Bolivarian Government, through the various institutions and security agencies, serves families affected by the intense rains in Turén, Portuguesa
The director of Civil Protection in the Portuguese state, Daniel Márquez, announced that officials of the agency he heads and the entity's Fire Department are evaluating the damage caused by the rains recorded in the town of Turén.
Márquez assured that in the midst of this climatic situation, the safety of the inhabitants of the towns of Merecure, Los Tejados, Turenlinda, Las Jacoberas, El Bruzual, El Samán and La Lagunita II is guaranteed, which were the most affected by rainfall, reports Prensa MPPRIJP.
He added that with the help of women and men from the National Risk System (SNGR), Portuguese Firefighters, Portuguese Police, Bolivarian National Police Corps (CPNB) and the regional government, priority care is provided to affected families, damage assessment is carried out and permanent monitoring of the Portuguesa River is carried out, whose level has already fallen by 50%.
In addition, Márquez urged the population of the town of Turén to remain in safe areas as a preventive measure, to report any emergency to number 171, in addition to keeping informed through the official channels of the Bolivarian Government.
