Portuguese promotes bioecological alternatives to produce food

In order to reduce the use of chemicals and fertilizers, the National Government promotes bioecological alternatives to produce food in the Portuguese state, as reported by the Minister of Popular Power for Productive Agriculture and Lands, Julio César León Heredia.

“We are giving the soil its strength to recover with its natural conditions,” he highlighted during the First Regional Agroproductive Meeting on Regenerative Agriculture, held in Araure, Portuguese state .

In addition, the governor of the entity, Primitivo Cedeño, recognized the efforts of producers who have been doing transformative work in the state, showing that if it is possible to reduce the use of chemicals and use the soil in an ecological way, which improves the country's agricultural and livestock production performance.

The event also offered a high-level academic and practical program, with outstanding interventions such as: Regenerative Agriculture — Taught by Dr. Andrés Kowalski (PhD), an expert in agricultural sustainability. The presentation “Agroproductive boost for soybeans and sunflowers” was also heard — by Daniel Brito and Giorgio Ruffato, specialists in strategic crops.

This activity marks the beginning of an ongoing agenda of training and technical support for farmers in Portuguesa, with plans for new days, accessible funding and specialized support.
