President Maduro announces international investment in planting 350,000 hectares of soybeans for export

“Venezuela is going to become the world's breadbasket with agroecological food” was the ruling made by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, after announcing a significant investment of foreign capital for the planting of 350,000 hectares of soybeans for export.

“They come to invest in planting 350,000 hectares based on soybeans, but they have adopted the concept of conuco and bring all the capital and technology,” he said.

He explained that this extension of planting will be in lands in eastern Venezuela, while ratifying Venezuela's willingness to receive investors from all over the world. “We are open for investment in mining, in energy, in agriculture, in industry, in everything,” he said.
