President Maduro announces the rescue of Francisco de Miranda's house and the creation of a museum in his honor

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, announced that the house where the hero Francisco de Miranda lived in his first years of life will be recovered.

During the opening ceremony of the Venezuelan International Book Fair (FILVEN), the head of state said that the house where the museum will be built in honor of the hero who conquered the freedom of several countries will be rehabilitated. “Miranda the universal,” he said.

He stressed that “President Chávez began a great cultural revolution as part of the Bolivarian, humanist, Christian, socialist Revolution of the 21st century and we have lived 25 years that can be said to have been a truly wonderful period”.

The 21st International Book Fair of Venezuela is a legacy of Commander Hugo Chávez that consolidates the country as a cultural beacon of Latin America. The opening ceremony was held at the National Art Gallery and was attended by the Minister of Popular Power for Culture, Ernesto Villegas, among other representatives of the National Executive.
