The Commander in Chief of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), Nicolás Maduro, presented decorations to officials who participated in Operation Cumanacoa 2024.
During the Presidential Salutation Act to the FANB in 2024, Maduro thanked all the fighters for all the work they did for the people of Cumanacoa. “Wear this well-earned award!” , said the Head of State.
During Operation Cumanacoa 2024, the fighters managed to restore 962 homes in prioritized sectors and the construction of 36 new ones.
In addition, 2 campuses were built, 14 rehabilitated and 15 restored sports fields.
In addition, 10,000 tons of asphalt were placed in the central area of Cumanacoa and 100 of the rivers were channeled.
President Maduro also decorated the military personnel who participated in the different operations to guarantee the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the nation.
Maduro received a gift from the FANB that represents the Liberator Simon Bolivar handing a sword to the Grand Marshal of Ayacucho.
“This is a wonderful symbol, the great Liberators of America, to them we owe our honor, our very existence, in the historical time marked by the past, the glories of the present and the battles and victories that are about to be conquered in the future to be definitively free as they dreamed,” said Maduro after receiving the present.
