President Maduro: Bolivarian Military Aviation respects airspace and the country's sovereignty

The President of the Republic and the Commander-in-Chief of the Bolivarian National Armed Force (FANB), Nicolás Maduro, heads the Central Act for the 104th Anniversary of Bolivarian Military Aviation and the 32nd Anniversary of the Heroic Deed of the Civic-Military Rebellion of November 27, 1992.

The event takes place at the El Libertador Air Base, Maracay, in the state of Aragua, where they accompany the Head of State, the first female combatant of the Republic, Cilia Flores de Maduro, as well as the nation's Military High Command, as well as representatives of the Public Powers and the ministerial train.

At the event, the National President expressed “my emotional and admiration greetings to those who in 2024 104 years after the beginning as the Venezuelan Military Air Force and 32 years after the anti-imperialist and anti-oligarchic rebellion of the generation of Bolivar's children”.

“Military personnel and also civilian personnel have succeeded and are achieving that the Venezuelan Bolivarian Military Aviation ensures respect for airspace and the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Venezuela,” he emphasized.

He ruled that “we have Military Aviation that defends the Homeland, the product of the daily efforts of professionals and good people.”

On November 27, 1992, leaders such as then-Lieutenant Colonel Luis Reyes Reyes, General Francisco Osorio and officers of the Navy, Admirals Hernán Evencio Grüber Odremán and Luis Cabrera Landaeta led this revolutionary action to put an end to the policies of the Fixed Point Pact that escalated to their peak in the government of Carlos Andrés Pérez.
