The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, during his telephone speech at the Closing of the Bicentennial Seminar of Bolivia, assured that the struggle of the highland country over the sea is still going on.
“Bolivia's fight for the sea is also ongoing, very current, because Bolivia has the right to the sea because it won it with the weapons of the United Liberation Army,” he stressed.
He stressed that the Republic of Bolivia was born with a sea to the Pacific, while emphasizing that this is due to “a historical cause that we Bolivarians will never abandon or shy away from.”
He recalled that Venezuela and Bolivia belong to the same lineage of heroes and heroines who gave their lives for the emancipation of the peoples of South America and that today both nations reaffirm their commitment to continue with the Bolivarian legacy.
