President Maduro congratulated a delegation of young people who performed excellently at the 4th edition of the Open World Astronomy Olympiad

The delegation of young Venezuelans who participated in the 4th edition of the Open World Astronomy Olympiad won one gold medal, two bronze medals and three honorable mentions in the competition held in the city of Sochi in the Russian Federation.

This was reported by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, through his Telegram channel where he congratulated these young people from the National Scientific Seed Program for their extraordinary performance.

In this regard, he assured that these boys represent the fruit of the sustained work of the Great Mission of Science, Technology and Innovation “Dr. Humberto Fernández-Morán” and of the commitment of the education system to comprehensive training.

“We have the future, intelligence and strength to stand out in the world's most demanding scenarios. Let us continue to sow science, conscience and sovereignty from knowledge. Thank you for raising the name of Venezuela!” , he highlighted.
