President Maduro granted promotions to members of the Presidential Honor Guard and the DGCIM

This Wednesday, July 02, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, led the promotion ceremony to the immediate higher rank of professional personnel attached to the Presidential Honor Guard (GHP) and the Military Counterintelligence Directorate (DGCIM).
During his speech to authorize the event held at the Bolivarian Army Academy Theater, in Fuerte Tiuna, Caracas, he stated that the month of July is one of patriotic reaffirmation, because “it is marked by the birth certificate of the Fatherland, which gave birth to it with its sacrifice, with its blood gave freedom to all of America.”
He said that “today we proceed to recognize the immediate higher rank of the members of the glorious Presidential Honor Guard and the General Directorate of Military Counterintelligence, who have been earned by merit, sacrifice and struggle.”
In this event, 464 Presidential Honor Guards are promoted to the Higher Immediate Rank and Hierarchy.
The head of state was accompanied by Cilia Flores, First Combatant of the Republic and deputy of the National Assembly, (AN); G/J Vladimir Padrino López, sectorial vice-president of Sovereignty and Peace, and M/G Javier José Marcano Tabata, commander of the Presidential Honor Guard (GHP).
