The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, highlighted this Tuesday the role that historians play in the fight for the truth of the Peoples, as well as in the rescue of identity and living memory.

During the closing of the International Seminar: Bicentennial of Bolivia 1825-2025, in telephone contact, the Head of State pointed out that historians have the great task of bringing to our times the word of the warriors of Independence.

“ Historians must become warriors of truth, of the word and of the rescue in the identity of living memory, to bring to our times the great struggles for the refounding of the Great Homeland,” he said.

In that regard, he welcomed the holding of this seminar, since it denotes Venezuela's love for the highland nation. “Liberator Simon Bolivar said that Bolivia was his favorite daughter, for us she is our favorite sister. We rejoice and triumph when Bolivia advances and we suffer when Bolivia falls into the clutches of imperialism, the coup d'etat and neoliberalism,” he emphasized.
