The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, this Thursday, December 12, inaugurated the University of Sciences “Dr. Humberto Fernández-Morán”, whose objective is to strengthen scientific and technological education in Venezuela.

“It's a historic date, December 12, 2024, with the inauguration of this university, which bears the name, intelligence, example, legacy and immortal spirit of this Maracaibero, Zulian, of this gigantic Venezuelan, who embraced the ideas of Simon Bolivar, who toured the world: Humberto Fernández-Morán,” he exalted.

During the opening ceremony, of this study house located at the headquarters of the Venezuelan Institute for Scientific Research (IVIC), in the state of Miranda, where he stated that “we give great youth, to those who create and are showing their abilities to the world”.

“Work built in record time,” he said.

He pointed out that this university will bring together the best scientific professors in our America, who “want to come and teach this generation of young Venezuelans interested in science and technology.”

The head of state, at the beginning of the activity, stressed that the excellent work “of the Scientific Seedbed, almost 400,000 girls, boys and young people of the first youth, to call it in some way, geniuses of the Venezuela of the future, but who are already being cultivated”.
