President Maduro increases resources for government and mayoral projects by 54%

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, reported that for this year the amount for the execution of projects for governorates and municipalities will increase by 54%.

“We are going to distribute 447 million 275 thousand 707 dollars (the equivalent in bolivars) through the Interterritorial Fund of the Federal Governing Council for the execution of projects by the country's governorates and mayors,” he said.

The Head of State explained that “governorates are going to acquire 29% more resources, just over 129 million dollars and mayors 15%: plus a little more than 67 million dollars and the People's Power for consultations a total of 237 million dollars, which translates into 130% more resources.”

President Maduro indicated that “last year, 119 million dollars were given to the governorates and 60 million dollars to the mayors for the execution of their projects,” he explained.

He explained that the level of execution in governorates stands at 87% and in mayors at 78%. The popular power, through the novel method of direct consultation with direct voting, was given 97 million 394 thousand dollars and has an execution, in the first consultation of 97% and in the second of 96%: “record execution”.
