The
President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, paid tribute to the
revolutionary Robert Serra, on the occasion of the 11th anniversary of his assassination,
by the fascist right.
In his publication, the head of state described Serra as “a young fighter, an outstanding political leader of the golden generation, forged in the vision, thought and morals of our Commander Chávez. His intelligence, his courage and the clarity of his ideas made him an extraordinary being, a man of study and discipline who charted a path, leaving a model for everyone to follow.
He also reiterated that the assassination of Serra did not end the strength of the homeland's youth. “They thought that at the end of his life, they could silence him, but they were wrong. Their sacrifice is a reminder that violence has not and will not be able to stop the Bolivarian Revolution. Robert challenges us from the future, and his example shows us that the values of patriotism, morality and commitment are the only way to defeat those who seek to harm our people.”
