President Maduro receives Credentials from Spain's new ambassador, Álvaro Albacete Perea

This Monday, December 23, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, received the credentials of the new ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain in Caracas, Álvaro Albacete Perea.

The ceremony of awarding credentials took place at the Miraflores Palace, where the head of state received Ambassador Albacete, with whom he exchanged views on various matters related to the bilateral relationship between the two nations.

Albacete Perea has been a career diplomat since October 21, 2010, and previously served as chief of staff of the Minister of Culture, Ernest Urtasun, a position he held since November 2023.

Previously, in 2022 he was Deputy Secretary General of the Union for the Mediterranean (UPM) and between 2014 and 2021 he served as Deputy Secretary of the International Interreligious Center and Cultural Dialogue (KAICIID).

In 2021, he became an advisory member in the technical office of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, and that same year he also served as an advisory member in the Office of the Presidency of the Government until 2022.
