President Maduro receives Cuban delegation on the occasion of the 99th Anniversary of the birth of Commander Fidel Castro

This Wednesday, August 13, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, received the delegation of the Republic of Cuba, at the Miraflores Palace, as part of the commemoration of the 99th Anniversary of the birth of Commander Fidel Castro Ruz.

The meeting was held in the Simón Bolívar Hall, of the Presidential House, and the head of state stressed that “today, August 13, we commemorate the 99th anniversary of the birth of Hurricane Fidel Castro Ruz”.

He said that “we remember the memory of the giant that changed the history of Latin America, the Caribbean and much of the world.”

He noted that Commander Castro transformed the direction of the region, and that his thinking remains fully valid in the foundations of a new Latin American and Caribbean revolution, which “is still developing, inspiring struggles for the sovereignty, justice and dignity of peoples.”

The National President sent greetings to all the Cuban people “and to our dear Army General, Raúl Castro Ruz and to President Miguel Díaz-Canel and to the entire Directorate of the Cuban Revolution.”
