The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, renewed the Economic Emergency Decree to face the blockade against the country and the world trade war, he reported this Friday, August 08.

The information was released by the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, through her social networks, where she published the extraordinary OFFICIAL GAZETTE, number 6,924, dated August 8, 2025.

He explained that this decision is made by virtue of the successful implementation of this initiative.

In this way, the head of state extends its validity and content “to continue defeating imperial sanctions, preserve economic balance and guarantee the full enjoyment of their rights to the Venezuelan people,” Rodríguez emphasized.

Last April, President Maduro issued this decree that establishes a State of Economic Emergency throughout the national territory for a period of sixty (60) days, as stipulated in article 339 of the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

The decision was ratified by the National Assembly (AN), and later by the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ), powers that confirmed the legitimacy of such an initiative.
